I know this blog is about books and reading, but publishers also provide us with many learning tools in addition to the books we love, like Simon & Schuster’s Pimsleur Method. Just look around your favorite bookstore and you’ll see so many great resources!
One of my personal reading habits is to alternate my thrillers with romance novels. It changes the tempo of my reading and helps me keep all the characters separated from each other. Plus, those are my two favorite genres, so this method ensures I get to read a lot of both of them.
In between reading Vince Flynn’s The Last Man and Michael Palmer’s Political Suicide, I read Kelly Hunter’s Flirting with Intent.

I have to say the Prologue is one of the best I’ve read in quite a while and the shock value alone is enough to quickly propel you through many chapters while searching for answers to your questions. I mean, what kind of purely evil person would ever want to do such a thing to the truest, bravest, most honorable men of our armed forces? Because as soon as you read it, you know that wasn’t something these men signed up for, or were ever trained to do, or could ever believe in.
Which means somebody did this to them. And that person absolutely must be stopped.
